BETONG, June 5: Layar assemblyman Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu has called on Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) to intensify the monitoring of prices of goods during festive seasons especially in Betong.

According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), Gerald also requested KPDNHEP to monitor the supply of essential goods in Betong to ensure that supplies are always sufficient for locals.

He said this when officiating at the Malaysian Family Sales Programme (PJKM) representing Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas at Pasar Tamu Baru Betong recently.
