Lawas Integrated Administrative Complex reaches 52 pct completion, on track for July 2025 finish

KUCHING, Aug 1: The construction of the Integrated Administrative Complex (IAC) for Sarawak Government Departments in Lawas is progressing smoothly, with the project at 52 per cent completion as of July 30.

According to a TVS news report, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak, Datuk Aidel Lariwoo, expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress, noting that it is on schedule for completion in July 2025.

Expressing satisfaction with the positive development, Aidel attributed the current progress to the developer’s efforts to accelerate work to achieve this status.

“Several issues that contributed to project delays post-Covid-19 have been efficiently resolved by the developer,” he was quoted as saying.

Aidel made these remarks during a working visit to the IAC project site on July 30.

The 15-storey building will house offices for various state government departments and agencies.

The complex will feature modern amenities, parking facilities, and upgraded road access.

“It will accommodate approximately 15 State government agencies and departments, and we anticipate that around 700 government officers and staff will be occupying this building,” the deputy minister added. — DayakDaily
