KUCHING, Mar 7: A landslide hit Kampung Bukit Kota in Limbang, blocking the main road and affecting three houses.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 2.11pm today, and firefighters from the Limbang station were deployed.
It was noted that the landslide also damaged the main water pipe and electricity poles in the area, as well as cutting off the road due to the debris.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
“Monitoring was carried out at the scene and residents of the affected houses were advised to evacuate their homes as the area was deemed unsafe for occupation.
“Nearby residents were also advised to move to safer locations as a precautionary measure,” said the report. — DayakDaily
