KUCHING, Dec 9: SK RC Kubong area in Limbang is facing heavy flooding with water reaching up to 0.4 meters in height. Warnings have been issued by the Civil Defence Force (APM) to residents in the area to be cautious.
Heavy rains had also affected Kampung Siang-Siang, Lawas, where the river overflowed to the road, engulfing it in water up to 0.4 meters.
In Bau, visitors at a resort found themselves trapped momentarily due to the flood caused by heavy rain on late Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened at a resort located at Kampung Bijuray Mongang Krokong, where the flood had blocked the main entrance of the resort.
According to the APM report, water levels had receded in an hour and all the visitors were able to leave the resort safely.
Besides the resort, two houses in the same area were flooded but luckily no evacuation was needed.—DayakDaily
