KUCHING, Dec 9: The Magistrate’s Court here sentenced an unemployed man to one year and two months’ imprisonment for stealing a motorcycle.
Mohammad Abdul Hadi Abdul Rahim, 21, pleaded guilty to the charge framed.
Magistrate Nuruhuda Mohd Yusof convicted him as charged and sentenced him to imprisonment of one year and two months.
He was found to have commited the theft of a blue Honda EX5 motorcycle belonging to Daniel Abdul Rahman, near Jalan Setia Raja, at about 12.55 am on December 4, 2019.
He was charged under Section 379A of the Penal Code, which carries imprisonment between one year and seven years and liable to fine.
Prosecuting Officer Rogayah Rosli prosecuted while the accused is unrepresented by counsel. —DayakDaily
