Lance corporal pleads not guilty to carnal intercourse, causing hurt

KUCHING, Sept 26: A lance corporal claimed trial to committing carnal intercourse with his wife and causing hurt to her at the same time.

Mohd Khairul Afiz Kamarazaman, 35, pleaded not guilty to both charges.


Sessions Court Judge Mohd Taufik Mohd Yusoff allowed the accused to be released on bail of RM20,000 with two local sureties, where RM2,500 is to be deposited with the court.

Mohd Taufik fixed October 17 for pre-trial case management.

Mohd Khairul was charged with committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature on his wife, at their house at about 10.30pm on May 14, 2018.

He was charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term of between five years and twenty years, and shall also be liable to whipping.

He was also charged with causing hurt to his wife in order to have sexual intercourse with her during the subsistence of a valid marriage, at their house, at about 10.30pm on May 14, 2018.

He was charged under Section 375A of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term which may extend to five years.
