KUCHING, May 13: Residents and businesses around Emart Batu Kawa, including the surrounding shophouses, are expected to face low water pressure or a temporary water supply interruption today due to urgent repair works on a leaking 200mm DI main pipe.
According to a notice issued by the Kuching Water Board (KWB), the water supply disruption is scheduled to begin at 10am and is expected to be resolved by 5pm today. The repair work is taking place at the Emart Batu Kawa Commercial Centre, located along Jalan Batu Kawa.
To mitigate the impact, water tankers have been mobilised to assist affected areas.
KWB also advises road users to exercise caution when driving in the vicinity during the repair works and to adhere to all traffic management regulations for safety.
“Any inconvenience caused is very much regretted,” the statement added.
