KWB quickly addresses water supply disruption in Pending

KUCHING, Aug 16: A burst pipe at Jalan Tun Razak had caused water supply disruption to Foochow Road area in Pending here yesterday.

According to a media release, the residents then alerted Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian of the situation and he immediately contacted the Kuching Water Board (KWB).

KWB responded swiftly by sending a tanker truck to deliver clean water to the residents and mobilised its team to carry out emergency repair works to fix the broken pipe.

The water tanker truck arrived at Lorong 1T, Jalan Foochow around 9.30pm and residents quickly collected and stocked up some waters for home use.

Restoration of the pipe was completed at 3am today and water supply has since returned to normal.
