Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company keen on collaborative opportunities with Sarawak

KUCHING, May 27: Keen to partner with Sarawak, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) anticipates collaborative opportunities with Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros).

According to Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Chief Executive Officer of KUFPEC Mohammad Salem Al-Haimer said KUFPEC had received a positive message from the Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg, and Petros regarding collaboration opportunities for both sides.

Remaining committed to collaborating with Sarawak in the future, KUFPEC said the company has been part of the Lang Lebah project, which is one of the biggest gas discoveries off the Malaysian coast in Central Luconia.

“And I think there is big room for collaboration and more opportunities for Sarawak and KUFPEC. We are willing to continue and push and invest more,” Ukas quoted Mohammad Salem.

He said this when met by reporters after making a courtesy call on the Sarawak Premier at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here, on May 24 (Friday).

Mohamed Salem added that this collaboration is a good opportunity that can bring a bright future for Sarawak and KUFPEC. — DayakDaily
