KUCHING, Feb 20: Residents in the Kut Muara area in Dalat will have access to clean water supply by June, upon the completion of the utility upgrading work under Project Rakyat.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, a new bridge will also be built to connect Kut Muara Hilir and Kut Muara Hulu.

Minister of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK) Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah said the bridge would cost about RM11.5 million.

Fatimah said this during a programme at the Kut Muara Community Hall yesterday.

She said this resulted from the voters’ support for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) during the 12th Sarawak Election (PRN12) held last December.

Fatimah, also Dalat assemblywoman, expressed her gratitude to voters in the area for their support.

She added that by voting for GPS, they support the policies and development brought by the government. — DayakDaily
