Kuching man to be remanded in Bukit Aman for allegedly posting remarks against King

KUCHING, March 2: The man who allegedly humiliated the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on his social media account will be remanded for four days in Bukit Aman to assist further investigations into the case.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was arrested by police yesterday at his house located at Jalan Crookshank.


Senior Assistant Registrar (SAR) Zaiton Annuar granted four days’ remand starting from today until March 6.

The suspect will be brought to Bukit Aman and investigated by the Bukit Aman Classified Criminal Investigation Department.

The case is being investigated under the Sedition Act and Communications and Multimedia Act.

The suspect is represented by counsels Benedict Khu and Gabriel Khoo. — DayakDaily
