Kuching International Tattoo Expo 2024 returns April 5-7 to showcase global artistry

KUCHING, March 20: The Kuching International Tattoo Expo is back and scheduled to take place at the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) multipurpose hall on Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here from April 5 to 7.

As per a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts (MTCP) Sarawak Deputy Minister Datuk Snowdan Lawan mentioned that the expo featuring tattoo artists from different countries has successfully drawn the attention of international tourists to the State.

“If they can hold this expo every year that would be great, because it will attract foreign tourists here.

“At this year’s expo, there are some who are invited to come from abroad, namely from Holland, Sweden, India, France, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Japan,” he was quoted as saying in the news report.

Snowdan made the remarks during the Kuching International Tattoo Expo 2024 press conference held on Tuesday (March 19) here.

He further mentioned that there will be 45 stalls exhibiting and 12 categories being contested at the expo.

Meanwhile, he also expressed hope that organising the event will help Sarawak achieve its goal of reaching 4 million visitors. — DayakDaily
