KUCHING, August 31: The 17th Kuching Intercultural Mooncake Festival is back with fun-packed events lined up for visitors.

To be held from September 17 to 24 along Carpenter Street at the heart of the city, the festival is organised by The Federation of Kuching Division Community Association with Kuching Old Market Community Association.

Co-organising chairman Sim Kiang Chiok in a statement said Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF) would be participating in the festival bringing more visitors with Sarawak Inbound Agencies (ASIA) and Sarawak Association of Tourist Attractions (SATA) together with their members from Kuching, Sibu and Miri who would be displaying Sarawak’s tourist attraction products.

He said that they would be at the Bishop’s Gate junction at Carpenter Street, also offering attractive prizes through various competitions for visitors throughout the festival.

“As per usual we will be starting the festival from 6pm onwards daily and closing at 11pm. This is to allow our hosts, the businesses in Carpenter Street, to continue with their daily businesses unhindered and for all us to have a joyful time at night with our family and friends.

“I invite all Kuchingites to join us once again and bring your friends to celebrate our ‘City Of Unity’ together in merriment and enjoy the sight sound and taste of Kuching Intercultural Mooncake Festival 2018,” said Sim. — DayakDaily
