MetMalaysia noted that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term alert, valid for a duration of no more than six hours per issuance.

Furthermore, MetMalaysia said analysis of the latest weather forecast models indicates that the ongoing strong westerly wind pattern is likely to persist across the country until July 16.

This situation has the potential to bring wetter weather conditions accompanied by strong winds, particularly in the northern parts of Peninsular Malaysia, the Federal Territory of Labuan, and western Sabah, including the surrounding maritime areas.

In light of this, the public is advised to stay informed by regularly checking updates on the official MetMalaysia website at www.met.gov.my, its official social media platforms, or by downloading the myCuaca mobile application for accurate and up-to-date weather information. — DayakDaily
