KUCHING, July 10: Kampung Temaga Dayak Waterfall has been identified as a site that could boost ecotourism activities in Lundu.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Kampung Temaga Dayak Waterfall was chosen by the Lundu District Rural Transformation Committee in collaboration with Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas).
On Friday (July 8), both parties conducted a site visit with Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang to the waterfall area to find a suitable location to build two gazebos, parking areas, and toilet facilities to benefit visitors.
The appropriate location was determined, and the Public Works Department (JKR) was instructed to produce a bill of quantity (BQ) in accordance with the RM50,000 allocation that had been approved.
At the same time, Billy also took the opportunity to hand over donations to the residents of Kampung Temaga Melayu in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration. — DayakDaily
