KUCHING, Nov 26: More than 1,500 households in Kampung Bumbuk and the surrounding areas in Batu Kitang constituency, will be able to enjoy fiber internet connectivity by the first quarter of 2021.
According to the assemblyman for Batu Kitang Lo Khere Chiang, this is made possible thanks to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is also the chairman for Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA).
“Before this, the connectivity in this area was poor, and some of the constituents here couldn’t even receive it (due to lack of facilities). But today, I am very pleased that the internet connectivity has been brought to my constituency, and the constituents here will be able to enjoy and benefit from better internet connectivity,” he said.
