KUCHING, June 8: Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) Sarawak enforcement officers had inspected 74 hotspots that have been flagged by the Hotspot Identification for Dynamic Engagement (HIDE) system in Emart Matang and Emart Batu Kawah.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today disclosed that the monitoring team did not issue any compounds nor did they uncover any SOP violation during their inspection.

This implies that the operators and visitors alike at the two giant retail premises here are complying with SOPs.

On the same day, the State KPDNHEP task force had inspected 546 premises throughout the State.

Only four compounds were issued, all in Miri, for not displaying thermometers in front of the premises.

This brings the total number of compounds issued by the State Ministry to 29 since May 13. — DayakDaily
