Kota Sentosa rep presents RM50,000 RTP project award for BEM Satria Jaya facilities upgrade

KUCHING, Aug 29: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap today presented a RM50,000 Letter of Award (LoA) under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2025 for the upgrading of facilities at Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Satria Jaya BDC.

According to a press release, the project was awarded to Kejuruteraan AUM Sdn Bhd witnessed by officers from the Kuching South City Council (MBKS).

The upgrading works include the fabrication, supply, and installation of cabinets, a 500W passive stage monitor, a complete PA system with a console mixer and digital sound setup, speakers, a power amplifier, a power sequencer, and a new notice board aimed at enhancing the worship and community environment of BEM Satria Jaya for the benefit of both the congregation and the wider local community.

The initiative reflects the Sarawak government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure while supporting the role of religious institutions in fostering unity, nurturing values and promoting community well-being.

“The Sarawak government, through the RTP, continues to deliver meaningful development projects that directly benefit our people at the grassroots,” said Yap during the handover ceremony today.

“Religious institutions play an important role in building stronger communities, and I am committed to ensuring that facilities such as BEM Satria Jaya BDC are well maintained and upgraded to serve both present and future generations in Kota Sentosa,” he added.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with MBKS and local communities to ensure that RTP projects are executed efficiently and deliver lasting benefits to the people of the Kota Sentosa constituency. — DayakDaily
