KUCHING, Sept 19: The parking woes of Kota Sentosa Health Clinic at Mile 7 will soon be a thing of the past when the construction of additional 50 carparks commences soon.
Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap said the project worth RM250,000 under Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) will be supervised under Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).
“Kota Sentosa Health Clinic caters to hundreds of patients daily and the lack of parking spaces as well as people parking at the roadside have caused traffic inconveniences to the communities around the Mile 7 area seeking treatment at the clinic.
“Once completed, the additional parking lots will have proper entry and exit points and will definitely ease traffic congestion at the clinic,” he said in a statement today.
Yesterday (Sept 18), Yap has chaired a coordination meeting for representatives from MPP, Kota Sentosa Health Clinic and Sarawak Health Department to identify a suitable site for construction of the additional carparks with proper drainage.
Following that, MPP is now in the process of preparing the drawings, specifications for the scope of works together with the bill of quantities with inputs from the health clinic. — DayakDaily
