KUCHING, Nov 3: Kota Samarahan incumbent Datuk Rubiah Wang hopes voters will give their full support to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the 15th General Election (GE15).
“We have many more things to do here and we want to transform Kota Samarahan into an even better place.
“There are many development plans which we’ve put in place particularly for infrastructure, education and human capital development, which has been my strong points after serving this constituency for two terms. Inshallah (God willing), we will be able to execute them as we continue to move forward and serve the people,” Rubiah told reporters after she received her candidate appointment letter (watikah) from GPS chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today.
Rubiah who is from Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) also said they are prepared and have been on standby mode even before the Sarawak election in December last year.
She added that their role as the people’s representative is to ensure support from the people for GPS, and in return, it will ensure and look after the stability in Sarawak so it can grow stronger. — DayakDaily
