‘Kilat Boy’ ready to defend bantamweight title in Bangkok on Dec 28

KUCHING, Nov 6: ABF bantamweight champion ‘Kilat Boy’ is ready to defend his title in Bangkok on Dec 28.

Kilat Boy, who’s real name is Daeloniel McDelon Bong, said he has started preparation since Monday (Nov 30) during his time in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan.

“At the moment, there is no target set yet because the contender is yet to be announced,” he told reporters when met after his arrival at Kuching International Airport (KIA) yesterday (Nov 5).

On Oct 28, Daeloniel won the ABF Bantamweight title during a match at the Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) Championship in Bangkok.

Asked about his championship title win, Daeloniel said he is happy to be the first to bring the title to Sarawak.

“This is a big achievement for Sarawak,” he added. — DayakDaily
