KUCHING, Nov 23: Funds from Limbang MP Hasbi Habibollah enabled the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Force (PBS) of Kampung Seberang Kedai to purchase a fiberglass-boat and an engine worth RM6,500.
PBS Kampung Seberang Kedai chairman Rosli Rambli in a statement today revealed the asset was bought using the accumulated PBS grant (2018-2020), which was contributed by Hasbi, who is also the Federal Deputy Minister of Transport.
“The purchase of the boat was done by PBS Seberang Kedai Limbang to be used as an assistance if needed in Search and Rescue (SAR) operations, floods occurrences, and also humanitarian aid,” he revealed.
The second hand fiberglass-boat was bought at a price of RM2,200, which includes the cost for painting and restoration works, while the 40-horsepower Yamaha boat engine cost about RM4,300. — DayakDaily
