KUCHING, July 19: Kampung Emperoh Nyiru Grait in Padawan has been put under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from today until Aug 1.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today announced that the village is among four new areas being put under EMCO.
The other three areas involved longhouses which will undergo EMCO simultaneously from July 20 to Aug 3.
They are Rh Kambieng Abu Bengang, Krian and Rh Noel Praja Kabo in Saratok District as well as Rh Bundan Engkabang in Kabong.
The good news is that SDMC did not announce any extension of the EMCO implementation in any of the previous areas being put under lockdown.
At the same time, the Committee announced the end of EMCO at seven areas today.
They are Rh Lewis, Kampung Batu Besai in Sri Aman; Rh Dunggau, Mendas in Saratok; and five other areas in Long Lama, Telang Usan namely, Kampung Long Tepen, Sungai Pelutan; Kampung Long Lunyim, Sungai Pelutan; Kampung Long Luteng, Sungai Pelutan; SK Long Luteng; and Kem Sambas (Tapak Abadi Sdn Bhd). — DayakDaily
