KUCHING, Jan 18: Political Secretary to Chief Minister of Sarawak Tan Kai said the implementation of Sarawak’s Kenyalang Gold Card by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has received an overwhelming response from the public and even support from the Democratic Action Party (DAP).

According to Tan Kai in a statement, DAP Padungan state assemblyman Wong King Wei, set up counters at KMC flats to assist people in the application.

“In this respect, I wish to thank Wong King Wei, who helped GPS Government help senior citizens to apply for the Kenyalang Gold Card so that they can benefit from the card.

“The assistance of Padungan assemblyman Wong proved that DAP supports the good policy from GPS Government,” he said in the statement.

He said since DAP acknowledged the good policy initiated by Sarawak GPS government, they should join in the fight for more good policies which can bring benefits to the rakyat of Sarawak and not be afraid of their Malaya political master.

“As a member within the coalition of the PH federal government, Padungan assemblyman Wong should pursue the federal government to fulfill their election promises.

“Such as the 20 per cent oil royalty, and support the GPS government in the court case against Petronas of the 5 per cent state sales tax on petroleum products,” he added. —DayakDaily
