Kanowit man reported missing found by Bomba

The missing person was found by the Bomba personnel.

KUCHING, May 19: A 53-year-old man who went missing after going out hunting has been found alive at Nibong Tada Kanowit area on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was reported missing after he went out on his motorcycle to go hunting while his friend went to set up a fishing net on Sunday. The victim’s friend started to search for the victim after he failed to return to their agreed meeting spot.

According to the friend, 10 more people joined in the search for the victim but only his motorcycle and footprints could be found. They later reported the incident to the police station on Monday night.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) was alerted and a team dispatched in search of the missing man.

According to Bomba, they found the missing victim 100 meters away from the location where he was last seen. The victim was uninjured.

The victim was later sent back home and the Search and rescue operation was concluded at 2pm.—DayakDaily
