SPAOH, April 6: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas presented financial assistance amounting to RM261,000 to 22 Village Security and Development Committees (JKKK) in Kampong Spaoh.
In a statement, Uggah, who is also Bukit Saban assemblyman, also presented similar financial aid to Masjid Darul Syifa and 10 suraus in the area.
The mosque received RM10,000, while each surau received RM5,000.
The presentation, attended by Betong MP, Dr Richard Rapu, was held at the Spaoh sub- district office today.
Meanwhile, Richard also chipped in RM38,000 under his parliamentary allocation to the same mosque and 11 other suraus in his parliamentary constituency. — DayakDaily
