KUCHING, Nov 26: A total of 20 committee members from Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Kakus branch support the re-nomination of Kakus incumbent Datuk John Sikie Tayai for the coming 12th Sarawak Election.

According to a report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Tuai Rumah Gilbert Ngadi Malaka, who is representing PRS Kakus branch, said he fully supported Sikie to defend the Kakus seat.

“We choose him and would not support any other candidate. We are not accepting another replacement to defend the PRS and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) seats in Kakus constituency,” he said.

Gilbert pointed out that Sikie qualified to be re-nominated based on his excellent track record.

He said Sikie is a people-centric leader because he is in the area (turn padang) almost every week.

“You can call and check his schedule at the Kakus constituency service centre. This year alone, he went to more than 150 places to attend working visits or official government programmes,” he added. — DayakDaily
