KUCHING, July 21: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas is reminding Sarawakians to remember and be grateful for the sacrifices and contributions by the forefathers who fought for Sarawak’s independence 60 years ago.
He said Sarawak’s 60th independence anniversary tomorrow (July 22) is historic and meaningful as Sarawak continues to enjoy freedom from colonial power and strides towards prosperity.
“Since 60 years ago, we have been governing Sarawak with success. We have achieved great development and prosperity.
“We have also successfully strengthen the unity among the people who are multiracial and multireligious,” said Uggah in his Sarawak Day video message released today.
He urged all Sarawakians to remain united for a better tomorrow and a more developed Sarawak. — DayakDaily
