KUCHING, March 27: Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, has stated that the Julau parliamentary constituency receives its water supply from the Julau Water Treatment Plant, which has a design capacity of 1.6 million litres per day (JLH) and a supply proportional to current demand.

“There is also a plan to increase the plant’s capacity in two phases: 4 JLH under the Sarawak government and 8 JLH under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW),” Fadillah said during today’s question and answer session in Parliament.

The minister was responding to Julau Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Larry Sng’s question about the amount of treated water supply capacity for Julau parliamentary constituency, the most recent and current demand for treated water supply, and whether the ministry intends to expand water treatment plant capacity in Julau. — DayakDaily
