KUCHING, April 24: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will open its counters for business transactions involving the public, commercial goods and tourists transport vehicles.
It said the services would begin on April 29 onwards, with operation hours between 8am and 1pm.
“Among the services provided are for licence renewal, driver’s licence renewal, settling summons, as well as blacklisting issues for these commercial vehicles,” JPJ said in a statement.
As for other services, the department will announce its operations in due time based on the updates of the Covid-19 situation in the country and the government’s decision on the movement control order (MCO), it continued.
JPJ also advised the public who needed to carry out the transactions to adhere strictly to MCO guidelines.
The decision was made following the announcement made by Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob yesterday. — DayakDaily
