Journalists, DAP Miri in friendly bowling match to enhance ties

MIRI, Dec 14: Fifty bowlers from Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) and Democratic Action Party (DAP) Miri Branch were engaged in a friendly bowling match here yesterday.

Present at the 7pm `duel’ were Pujut assemblyman Dr Ting Tiong Choon, Pelawan assemblyman David Wong and NSJA president Andy Jong.


The event was meant to enhance ties between the press boys and Miri DAP.

In the Men’s category, Wong King Min (Sin Chew Daily) emerged the champion, with Jong (NSJA president/Sin Chew Daily) in second place and Joseph Pou (DAP member) in third place.

In the Women’s category, Wong Siew Moi (Sin Chew Daily) was the winner, edging Agnes Wong (United Daily News) to the first runner-up spot with Jennifer Laeng (The Borneo Post) in the second runner-up position. — DayakDaily
