Journalists association to present incentives to members’ children for excelling in academic, co-curricular activities

MIRI: The Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) will be distributing incentives to 15 of its members’ children who have excelled in their academic and co-curricular activities for the year 2020 tomorrow.

The recipients are Yoyo Ling Le Yi, Chai Koh Jun, Chai Koh Vui, Abraham Nading Kandau, Violet Tania Ucha Roger, Wong Jia Hui, Lenny Lo Zi Hung, Chyrra Haren Desmond, Dellpiero Desmond, Chellsea Lahei Desmond, Bryan Boon Wui Hung, Terrence Tan Wei Jie, Tia Leonorra Puyang Romi Chai, Chai Koh Vui, and Wong Jia Hui.

NSJA president Andy Jong Wan Joon said the incentives were supposed to be presented last year but was postponed due to the pandemic.

“Recipients of this incentive range from kindergarten to tertiary level students. We hope that by doing this, our children will continue to strive hard in their studies,” he said.

This is the fifth year that the association has distributed the incentives.

Additionally, Assistant Minister I of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting supported the initiative by providing funds. — DayakDaily
