KUCHING, April 1: An 31-year-old unemployed man was fined a total of RM3,000 after he pleaded guilty to two charges of voluntarily assisting in the disposal of two properties.
Magistrate Mohd Syukri Mokhtar fined Awang Zaidi Awang Star RM1,000 in default five months imprisonment for the first charge and RM2,000 in default eight months imprisonment for the second charge, where both charges were framed under Section 414 of the Penal Code.
For the first charge, Awang Zaidi was charged with voluntarily assisting in disposing a Sony PSP unit at Kampung Tabuan Foochow on Jan 23, 2019, at about 1pm.
For the second charge, he was charged with voluntarily assisting in disposing one yellow neck chain on Jan 23, 2019, at about 5pm at Kampung Tabuan Foochow.
The prosecuting officer was Nelson Ensit, while the accused was not represented. — DayakDaily
