KUCHING, Feb 9: The Sessions Court today sentenced a jobless man to seven months imprisonment to a charge of threatening to kill his father.
Luwis Setar, 37, pleaded guilty to the charge framed under Section 506 of the Penal Code before Magisitrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali.
Magistrate Syarifah accepted his guilty plea and convicted him as charged and sentenced him to seven months in jail.
The accused allegedly threatened to kill his 73-year-old father at their house in Sungai Apong Baru, at about 11.15pm on Nov 25, 2021.
According to the brief facts of the case, the accused acted aggressively at home when he found that no one was staying with him and had then threatened to kill his father.
