KUCHING, March 16: A jobless man from Kampung Bumbok has been charged with trafficking nearly 25kg of dangerous drugs.
Spancer Senna Edwin, 28, was charged with four charges under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and punishable under Section 39B(2) of the same Act at two different Magistrate’s Courts here.
Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 carries a death sentence or imprisonment for life and whipping if he is not sentenced to death, upon conviction.
The case is fixed for further mention on April 13 to update on the chemist report of the substance found.
Before Magistrate Zaiton Anuar, for the first charge, he allegedly trafficked substances believed to be 6098 grams of methamphetamine, at the five foot way of Batu Kitang Cafe, at about 1.30pm on Feb 26, 2022.
For the second charge, he allegedly trafficked 6096 grams of methamphetamine at the Best Express Courier at Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, at about 2pm on Feb 26, 2022.
Before Magistrate Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali, for the first charge, he was found trafficking 13376 grams of ketamine, in a room at a house located in Kampung Bumbok, at about 3pm on Feb 26, 2022.
For the second charge, he allegedly trafficked 664 grams of substance believed to be methamphetamine, in a room at a house located in Kampung Bumbok, at about 3pm on Feb 26, 2022.
