KUCHING, Aug 12: Residents in Jalan Wan Alwi have been urged to keep their house compounds clean in light of two dengue cases reported recently.
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) chief Milton Foo said Kapitan Tan Kok Chiang informed him of the outbreak.
According to Foo, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has also launched a 14-day anti-dengue fogging and inspection in the affected areas, especially at Jalan Wan Alwi and Tabuan.
As such, he called for the residents in the affected areas to cooperate with the authorities and facilitate the implementation when officials from the Ministry of Health arrive at their homes.
He also thanked MOH and Kapitan Tan for their joint efforts in helping the community to prevent dengue and eradicate Aedes mosquitoes by fogging and circulating related information for dengue awareness. — DayakDaily
