KUCHING, Mar 27: A bush fire along Jalan Utama Kemuyang in Sibu has been brought under control.
In a Facebook post, the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) Sibu District said that the fire was reported at around 5.30pm on Thursday (Mar 26).
A team of 16 firefighters and three APM personnel were deployed, preventing the fire from spreading further.
“The operation confirmed that the fire was successfully brought fully under control, and the situation at the location is now safe and stable,” said the APM Sibu.
APM Sibu added that an inspection at the site was later carried out and urged the public to remain alert and promptly report any emergency incidents to ensure swift action can be taken. — DayakDaily
