KUCHING, July 5: Development projects in Sarawak, particularly those related to infrastructure, were key topics during a courtesy call by Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak director Ir Dr Cassidy Morris on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
According to a media release posted on its social media, this courtesy call was the first since Cassidy’s appointment in May this year.
The meeting also covered the direction of JKR Sarawak and included discussions on various projects being implemented throughout Sarawak.
Other highlighted matters included the implementation of federal projects following JKR Sarawak’s recognition as a Technical Department.
This is stipulated in the Treasury Directive 182, which authorises JKR Sarawak to manage federal projects conducted in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
