KUCHING, March 14: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Kuching and the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development (MYSED) Sarawak held a constructive dialogue to identify potential areas of collaboration and synergy between JCI Kuching’s youth-focused initiatives and Sarawak’s strategic development plans.
According to a press release, on March 11, JCI Kuching paid a courtesy visit to MYSED deputy minister Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu at his office in Bangunan Baitulmakmur 2, Petra Jaya here.
“The meeting between the two parties proved to be highly productive, marked by a robust exchange of ideas and insights.
“JCI Kuching president, Jervis Jong, enthusiastically presented the organisation’s comprehensive Plan of Action for 2024, outlining key initiatives and objectives aimed at fostering community development and youth empowerment in the region.
“In response, YB Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu shared invaluable insights into Sarawak’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy for 2030, shedding light on the government’s vision and initiatives to drive economic recovery and sustainable growth in the aftermath of the global pandemic,” read the press release.
The press release also stated that Gerald elaborated on the preparations for the upcoming 21st Sarawak Malaysia Games (Sukma), which will be hosted by Sarawak later this year.
