KUCHING, July 30: Sections of Jalan Tun Jugah, from the CityOne Mall traffic lights junction towards Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, will be partially closed for five months from July 29 to Dec 31 to facilitate construction works under the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project.
In an advisory, Sarawak Metro said the temporary traffic diversion is necessary to enable ongoing construction activities as part of the KUTS development.
Road users travelling through the affected stretch have been advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant when approaching the work zone.
Motorists are also urged to adhere to all traffic management measures in place, including road signages and designated speed limits, to ensure the safety of both road users and construction personnel.
Sarawak Metro said it will continue to keep the public informed of any changes to the construction schedule or traffic arrangements throughout the duration of the works.
Members of the public seeking further information may contact the KUTS hotline at 1300-88-5887, available from Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, excluding public holidays. Enquiries can also be directed via email to 555999@sarawak.gov.my or info@mysarawakmetro.com.
Sarawak Metro thanked the public for their cooperation, understanding and patience throughout the construction period. — DayakDaily
