CYBERJAYA, Oct 25: The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) will be holding the National Tax Seminar 2017 from Nov 2-16 at 24 locations nationwide, in conjunction with the tabling of 2018 Budget by Prime Minister and the Finance Minister of Malaysia.
In Sarawak, the seminar will be held in Sibu, Miri, Bintulu and Kuching (see schedule above).
According to a press statement, the seminar is intended to provide clearer insight into amendment proposals to the Income Tax Act 1967 and any related acts during the tabling of 2018 Budget as well as increase public awareness.
Topics to be discussed during this seminar are ‘2018 Budget Proposals’ and ‘Tax Compliance: The Way Forward’.
IRBM calls on taxpayers, tax practitioners, accountants, financial planners, company secretaries and directors, and all those who are interested, to grab the opportunity to attend this seminar in order to update and widen their tax knowledge.
