IRB counters in Kuching, KK to stop accepting manual direct tax payments starting Feb

KUCHING, Jan 12: Inland Revenue Board’s (IRB) receipt management centres (PPTH) counters in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu will stop accepting manual tax payments for all direct tax payments starting February.

In a statement today, IRB said it applies to all cash, cheque, and bank draft payments.

According to the board, the implementation applies to all types of payment receipts except for Certificate Payments for Business Name Registration at PPTH Kuching.

It added that starting in February, direct tax payments can continue to be made by using the Bill Number or Tax Identification Number (TIN) as a payment reference through various channels such as internet banking, selected bank counter, Automatic Teller Machine (ATM), selected bank cash deposit machine, selected bank agents, and FPX (ByrHASiL).
