MIRI, Dec 16: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for N75 Senadin Datuk Sri Lee Kim disclosed that the first phase of Unifi port installation in Taman Ceria Bandar Baru Permyjaya has been completed.
“A total 500 ports commissioned on Dec 6 this year has been installed in the area,” he said during a press conference held today (Thursday) at SUPP Senadin’s operations centre.
He added that as of Dec 15 this year, over 200 users have started to enjoy high speed broadband services.
Telekom Malaysia (TM) Miri has also revealed that it is ready for the second phase of installations, which will involve an additional 600 Unifi ports whereas the remaining balance of Phase 3 and 4 will be ready in January 2022.
Meanwhile, Lee has reminded voters, especially those in his constituency to come out in full force to cast their votes.
“This year marks the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Senadin constituency, I have walked the journey with you since 1996; Senadin has since successfully transformed from swathes of swamps and peat forests to a number of commercial, industrial and residential areas as a result of the trust of the people,” he pointed out.
He added that it took 25 years of work to transform Senadin into what it is now – a bustling hub of Miri City with four satellite townships: Desa Senadin, Tudan, Permyjaya and Mosjaya. — DayakDaily
