KUCHING, Jan 28: The coming ‘Kings and Queens of Comedy Asia Edition 9’ show at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) will feature internationally renowned comedians and is expected to bring more great entertainment to Sarawak.

The show is organised by Front Row Entertainment Sdn Bhd (Front Row) in partnership with The Comedy Club Singapore and is scheduled to be held on Feb 25.

Front Row’s Managing Director, Ameerah Alsree said the highly entertaining comedy production will showcase a line-up of the hottest comedians from Singapore and Malaysia, namely the cast for the Ayam Pandemic Edition: Rizal Van Geyzel, Fakkah Fuzz, Sharul Channa, Kavin J, Jason Leong, Joanne Kam, Rishi Budhrani, and Jinx Yeo.

“Front Row was formed to bring top quality global acts to Sarawak and this live show would be Front Row’s first foray into the world of comedy,” said Ameerah in a press statement today.

At the beginning of the endemic phase and opening of international borders last year, the company decided that the time had come for Sarawak to be the next great destination for proper entertainment events, and rocked Kuching with the Queen Tribute Concert (QTC) involving talented international artists on July 30, 2022 at BCCK.

It said the enthusiastic response from the concert attendees had proven without a doubt that Sarawak is indeed hungry and eager for great entertainment.

The positive feedback and buzz on QTC had inspired and motivated the company to work hard to bring the next great show to Sarawak.

“This is Front Row’s comedy show and we are thrilled to work together with The Comedy Club Singapore bring together the best all on one stage for one night. For example, Fakkah Fuzz has really hit a home run with his Netflix feature ‘Almost Banned’ and Jason Leong recently made headlines as being the first Malaysian to have two Netflix specials.

“These are world-class comedians who have reached to a worldwide audience and are among the eight high-calibre artists we are bringing in. As such, Kuching has now gained the admirable privilege of being in the comedy limelight and indeed the spotlight of the regional entertainment scene,” Ameerah highlighted.

She further opined that the show would be an unforgettable entertainment highlight for Kuching and a great opportunity to further attract visitors to Sarawak.

To ensure a full house for ‘Kings and Queens of Comedy Asia Edition 9’, Front Row is offering an early bird incentive to purchase tickets at RM178 per person until 11:59pm on 31 Jan 2023.
