KUCHING: The Malaysian Information Department (JAPEN) Sarawak today organised a Media Visit Programme to the DayakDaily office in conjunction with the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
The programme aimed to foster patriotism while strengthening relations and strategic cooperation between the department and media organisations in Sarawak.
The delegation, led by JAPEN Sarawak director Sabri Said, symbolically handed over the Jalur Gemilang to the DayakDaily team as part of efforts to promote and support the national flag-raising initiative.
Sabri expressed hope that DayakDaily would support the ‘1 Rumah 1 Jalur Gemilang’ initiative, a national campaign held in conjunction with the National Month that encourages Malaysians to fly the Jalur Gemilang at their homes.
He said the initiative aimed to foster patriotism, strengthen national unity, and add vibrancy to the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
The visit also provided an opportunity for JAPEN Sarawak and DayakDaily to strengthen their collaboration on patriotic initiatives, including the upcoming National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
As part of the visit, the DayakDaily team also participated in a brief video montage for the celebrations. — DayakDaily
