BINTULU, March 8: A 25-year-old Indonesian worker sustained facial burns when a gasoline cylinder caught fire inside a van while travelling along Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Bintulu responded to the emergency at 8.43am and immediately dispatched a team of firefighters to the scene.

During the incident, the driver quickly threw the burning cylinder out of the van, minimising further damage and injuries.
The fire caused minor damage to the driver and passenger seats of the van, which belonged to an electrical company.
The victim was transported to Bintulu Hospital via an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) ambulance.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and secured the scene before concluding their operation at 9am. — DayakDaily
