Indonesian worker rescued after hand gets caught in meat grinder in Selangau

KUCHING, June 9: A 21-year-old Indonesian worker had his hand caught in a meat grinder in Selangau today.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to the emergency by sending in the Selangau firefighters’ team after receiving a call regarding the incident at 12.28pm.

Upon arrival, the firefighters evaluated the scene and proceeded to open the grinding machine as well as stabilise the victim’s hand using Sam Spring and bandages.

The victim, Firdaus Andhika Tri Wardana, was later handed over to the Selangau health clinic via ambulance. — DayakDaily
