MIRI, August 19: An Indonesian woman in her late 20’s was admitted to Miri Hospital after she consumed weedkiller mixed with diesel on Saturday night.
It was believed that the woman had attempted to take her own life after a quarrel with her boyfriend earlier that night.
The incident happened in a plantation workers’ quarters in Niah.
Fortunately, the woman’s colleagues who happened to check on her in her room reacted swiftly and rushed her to the hospital. They arrived around 8pm at Miri hospital.
It was learnt that the woman is in a stable condition. — DayakDaily
