MIRI, Oct 12: An Indonesian woman was arrested on suspicion of prostitution by Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel on Wednesday during an undercover sting by the code name “Ops Noda”.
The 32-year-old woman was arrested at a homestay premises at Jalan Cressandra New Town Extension around 10.30pm.
Also seized during the arrest were 10 unused condoms and one tube of sexual lubricant from a room on the second floor of the premises.
The raid was made basec on a tip-off received earlier.
According to sources, prior to the arrest, one of the CID personnel disguised as the customer walked into the premises after making a reservation, before the CID team entered the room and arrested the woman.
The woman is currently being detained at Miri Central police station (CPS) for questioning. — DayakDaily
