Inaugural #JuhDigital programme empowers 200 MSMEs, youth entrepreneurs with digital skills

KUCHING, Aug 16: A total of 200 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from all over Sarawak have successfully completed the inaugural Juh Digital Bootcamp (#JuhDigital), a 4-week virtual digital marketing programme that aims to empower MSMEs and youth entrepreneurs with digital skills to succeed in the digital economy.

According to a press release, the programme was jointly organised by the Ministry of International Trade, Industry, and Investment (Mintred) and Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (Tegas). #JuhDigital is a programme specially designed for the MSME community and is fully funded by the Sarawak government under the 7th initiative in Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance (BKSS) 5.0.

It also aims to assist MSMEs in promoting and expanding their market reach.

Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment Datu Len Talif Salleh, who is also the Tegas chairman, stated that #JuhDigital is a programme which aims to increase the digital presence of micro and small businesses in Sarawak.

ā€œThe programme aims to help in accelerating the growth of MSMEs as part of efforts to continue to promote digital innovation and entrepreneurship in Sarawak.

ā€œI would like to thank Mintred for the trust in Tegas to deliver this programme which is in line with the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

ā€œThe programme does not end here. Participants will be given post-programme support such as special access to entrepreneurship programmes conducted virtually and physically at Tegas Digital Village and Tegas Digital Innovation Hub in Kuching, Miri, and Bintulu, 12-month access to on-demand video content via #JuhDigital Learning Management System (LMS) as well as private sessions with trainers done virtually till the end of the year,ā€ he said.

#JuhDigital was conducted virtually from July 23 to August 13, covering topics such as digital marketing research, copywriting and creative design, video marketing and basic live streaming, paid ads, digital marketing strategies, analysis and reporting.
